Job Description
First Steps Learning Center in Lafayette is in search of an Infant Toddler Teacher to join our team. This is a full-time position beginning immediately. (7:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday) (Must have 12 ECE units to be considered a qualified teacher
- including infant-toddler units) 1. Principles & Practices 2. Child Growth & Development 3. Child Family Community 4. Intro to ECE Curriculum or Infant Toddler Curriculum & Development is also accepted
- Experience with this age group is valuable but we will train in our philosophy.
Duties:
- prepare bottles and assist with feedings
- promote a healthy, safe environment for all children
- assist in daily routine; nap time, diaper changes, play time, story time, music, etc.
- build relationships with families and communicate daily needs
- work together with co-teachers in collaboration

Pre-employment physical exam, TB clearance, immunization record, (must be Covid-19 vaccinated) LiveScan and criminal record clearance. Pay is based upon education and experience. Must have at least 12 ECE units to be considered a qualified teacher.Pay:
