Job Description

Lead Toddler Teacher, Play-Based Preschool (Lafayette, CA) $[27-32]/hr

• Full-time

• Start early December At Pillar Kids, we think toddlers learn best through play, relationships, and a lot of curiosity. We're a small, licensed preschool for children 18 months to 5, located inside the Pillar coworking hub on Mt. Diablo Blvd in Lafayette. Our classrooms are small, our families are engaged, and our teachers have real input into the program. We're looking for a Lead Toddler Teacher who loves this age, which means the big feelings, the first words, and the "I do it myself" phase. What you'll do: You'll plan and lead play-based experiences for our toddler group, build warm relationships with children and families, keep observations and daily updates current in Brightwheel, and work with a small, collaborative team. What you'll bring: You'll need 12+ ECE units, including infant/toddler coursework, which is required for California Title 22 lead teacher qualification. Experience as a lead or co-lead in a toddler room is a plus. You'll also need Pediatric CPR/First Aid (or willingness to get it before you start), along with Live Scan clearance and TB screening. Most importantly, we want someone who is patient, playful, and steady with this age group.

Why Pillar Kids:

You'll work in a small program where you know every child and family, with a play-based philosophy and no worksheet curriculum. Our setting is a bright, professional coworking environment.
