Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a play-based preschool environment. Our program is unique with its highly desireable teacher-to-child ratio of one teacher for ever four (or 4.5) students. This allows for small group instruction and a variety of enrichment experiences. Teaching hours are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am-1pm , with two paid hours or prep time, for a total of 12 hours per week. This lead teacher will play a pivotal role in creating an engaging, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes all aspects of early childhood development including language and literacy, math, science, social-emotional, and fine and gross motor skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to participate in curriculum development and implement innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs. A minimum of two years' teaching experience, in a state licensed preschool, 12 ECE units, two letters of recommendation, and background checks are required. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children, and excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, families, and teaching colleagues.
Duties:
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, ensuring they meet the individual needs of each student. Lead classroom activities focused on developing literacy, math, science, social emotional, and fine and gross motor skills while maintaining a structured and positive learning environment. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments. Experience in positive behavior management within early childhood education settings is highly preferred. Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity is highly valued. Pay:
$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
