Lake Elsinore, CA Responsibilities Provide loving, attentive care for infants and toddlers in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development. Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, creativity, and learning through play. Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, toileting, naps, and health monitoring while following licensing regulations and best practices. Use positive guidance and classroom management techniques to encourage cooperation, emotional regulation, and positive behavior. Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow team members. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's daily activities, milestones, progress, and any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging learning experiences that support early childhood development and school readiness. Maintain accurate records, including attendance, developmental observations, incident reports, and other required documentation. Ensure the classroom remains clean, organized, safe, and compliant with California Community Care Licensing regulations and health and safety standards. Qualifications Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early childhood education setting preferred. Early Childhood Education (ECE) units preferred. Knowledge of infant and toddler development and developmentally appropriate practices. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to employment). Must successfully pass Live Scan fingerprint clearance and meet all California Community Care Licensing requirements. Understanding of mandated reporting laws and child safety practices.
