Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant to support the development and well-being of children in our care environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and supporting children's growth through engaging activities and proper caregiving practices. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children during playtime, learning activities, and rest periods Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic hygiene routines for infants and toddlers Support classroom activities that promote childhood development and early learning skills Implement behavior management techniques to foster positive social interactions Ensure a safe environment by monitoring children at all times and adhering to safety protocols Collaborate with lead teachers or caregivers to plan age-appropriate educational activities Support children with special needs or disabilities as required Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily routines Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is preferred Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages Experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom organization Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your skills in early childhood education.
