Pacific Coast Montessori Academy is looking for dependable, caring, and energetic Substitute Teachers to join our team! Our substitutes provide valuable classroom support when regular staff members are absent and help us maintain a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment for our students. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for a flexible, on-call schedule in an early childhood education setting. What You'll Do Provide classroom coverage as needed when regular staff members are absent Assist with daily classroom routines, activities, meals, transitions, and supervision Support a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment Follow classroom schedules and direction from Lead Teachers and school administration Engage with children in a patient, caring, and professional manner Help maintain appropriate classroom ratios and supervision Work collaboratively with teachers and administrative staff What We're Looking For Dependable and responsive when contacted for available substitute shifts Warm, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with children Able to adapt to different classrooms, age groups, and daily routines Professional, positive, and comfortable taking direction Early Childhood Education (ECE) units preferred Must meet California childcare licensing requirements for the position Must have or be able to obtain required Live Scan clearance, health screening, and TB clearance Schedule This is an on-call substitute position. Hours and days will vary based on staffing needs and available classroom coverage. Substitute teachers may be offered full-day or partial-day shifts depending on the needs of the school. Compensation Pay is based on qualifications, ECE units, experience, and the position being covered.
