We are a Christian preschool, teaching children from 2 to 6 years of age, and are located in Wilmington, California! Our preschool enrollment continually grows and we are looking for qualified Preschool Teachers to help our students reach their developmental potential. Applicants must have a minimum of 6 units and currently are working towards completing their 12. Teachers must have patience and a love for working with children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include the ability to create a fun and engaging learning environment for all students. We are a Christian preschool and require that our teachers are attending church regularly and are actively involved in ministry. Our preschool is open from 6:30 am-6:00 pm and work shifts vary. We have full-time and part-time positions available. Responsibilities Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children Observe each child and help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children in their love and faith in God Supervise children in the classroom and on the playground Effective communication with our student's families. Collaborate with other educators Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Skills Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods Excellent communication and instructional skills Ability to act as a mediator between children Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain certification
