Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older 3 Infant/Toddler Units on official transcript required upon hire, 6 Infant/Toddler units required within 12 months of hire. Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Social Science, or a related field is required. Bachelor's Degree or current enrollment in a Bachelor's program is strongly preferred. Valid California Child Development Teacher Permit or higher-level permits. Current approved EMSA First Aid; Adult, Infant and Child CPR Certifications (8 hours) 9 Hour course in Preventative Health Practices (PHP). Current TB, influenza (limited exceptions), pertussis, and measles vaccination and physical exam. 1 year of experience with infant/toddler, preferred 2 years of teaching experience, preferred. Knowledge of Head Start performance standards, preferred Creative curriculum experience, preferred. Bilingual English and Spanish (written and verbal), preferred.
