Job Description

Hours Needed:
9:00-5:00pm Preschool Assistant / Daycare Teacher Need someone to startASAP Job Description:
9:00-1:30pm- supervise 2 year old class in classroom and on playground 1:30-2:15pm
- lunch break & help out with nap room and children who wake up early 2:15-3:30pm
- supervise children on playground 3:30-4:00pm
- manage snack time 4:00pm-5:30pm
- Bring all children (primary and toddlers) into the daycare room for circle time and then time to play with daycare work During daycare time: Do art projects, songs, etc with the children who stay later.
Requirements:
- 12 ECE units (Can be in progress)
- Child CPR/First Aid training (We will provide if needed)
- Experience in a classroom/childcare setting monitoring more than a small group of children
Responsibilities:
Be a role model for children. Listen to the teacher's instructions and follow them accordingly. Maintain consistency with routine and expectations set for students. Follow up on the routines of discipline set for each child by the lead teacher Supervising classroom, playground, and meal times Good communication with staff and parents Willing to be a team player and pitch in when needed Changing of diapers and helping children when they have accidents Making and serving snack Monitoring when children are picked up from school Leading circle time with story Some light cleaning (wiping down chairs and tables, cleaning materials, dusting, snack dishes, laundry, etc.)- Summer & Holiday Hours will differ
- we mostly follow the NUSD school schedule, but are open for all but 2 weeks of the summer, please check our website for our school calendar
