This is a live-in position offering private accommodations. This role requires a unique combination of professional child care experience, native French language fluency, and hands-on knowledge of hair care techniques for African-textured and mixed-heritage hair types. Responsibilities Provide full-time daily care including feeding, bathing, developmental activities, and transportation to appointments and activities (25 hrs/week) Conduct all daily interactions and instruction exclusively in French to support the children's bilingual development and preparation for French-language school enrollment (5 hrs/week) Perform specialized hair care for children's coarse African-textured hair including protective styling, moisturizing treatments, detangling, and scalp health maintenance (5 hrs/week) Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation related to children's care (5 hrs/week) Required Qualifications — All Must Be Met Native French language fluency (learned or conversational French does not meet this requirement) French secondary education — Baccalauréat or equivalent Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in hair care for African-textured and mixed-heritage hair types, including protective styling and scalp health maintenance Minimum 12 months professional child care experience Valid driver's license CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start) Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Compensation and Benefits $23.95 per hour / $49,816 per year (DOL prevailing wage) Private bedroom and board provided at family residence Permanent, ongoing position Submit resume and a brief cover letter describing how you meet each of the three mandatory requirements to:
