Diagnosis may include, but not limited too: speech and language delays, premature birth, down syndrome, spinal bifida, or other related medical/developmental challenge. Child Development Specialist (CDS) must possess a minimum of a BA degree in child development, social services, psychology, or other related health and human services accredited colleges studies. CDS must have excellent writing and interviewing skills, and preferably at least 1 year experience working with the specials needs population and/ or experience with home based services. Ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity in working directly with the child and their family. Driver License and automobile insurance in good standing is required. Bilingual in Spanish Speaking or ASL and previous early intervention experience is a plus!
