This position requires an individual to work Monday

• Friday, 7.0 to 8.0 hours per day for 190 days per year (August
• June). Under direction of school administration, employee will assist in two preschool classrooms; and perform related work as required. Position for remainder of 2026
• 2027 school year; offering of continued contract for the 2027
• 2028 year contingent on merit and performance.

St. Rose Catholic School is looking for a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team in assisting to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for our young learners. The ideal candidate will be a creative, patient, and enthusiastic individual who is committed to early childhood education and helping children develop the foundational skills they need to succeed. Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, Preschool Director, the Preschool Teacher provides supervision, care, and developmentally appropriate learning activities for preschool-aged children (ages 2.8 through Kindergarten) in a classroom environment. This position assists with the preparation of instructional materials and the development and implementation of activity plans and performs clerical duties in support of classroom functions. Essential duties also include assisting the Program Supervisor/Director in all areas of program operation; collaborating with preschool staff; communicating with school personnel and outside agencies as needed; assisting with community and school outreach activities; attending required staff development trainings, faculty, and staff meetings; maintaining children's records; and ensuring compliance with all Saint Rose Catholic School, Community Care Licensing, and Diocese of Monterey requirements. This includes participating in evaluation, assessment activities, using the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) as a support document along with the established assessment tool and supporting parent volunteers in the classroom. Qualifications Materials:

Minimum 12 required ECE units, transcripts, letter of introduction, resume, three letters of recommendation, and must be 18 years or older. Upon hiring, applicants must fulfill all Community Care Licensing requirements and Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED certification. Experience working with preschool children is desired.
