The ideal candidate will have a heart for ministry, a love for working with young children, and a desire to help them grow spiritually, academically, and emotionally. We are a Christian preschool where prayer and worship are woven into our daily routine, and our team is committed to reflecting God's love in all we do. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves implementing engaging curricula, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the diverse needs of children. We use two learning curriculums in our Prek class: Learning Dynamics for reading and Handwriting without Tears for writing. Most of all we are looking for a teacher that loves Jesus and wants to be part of our team at OTDS. This job starts at $18.00 an hour and hours are from 8 am - 1:30 pm Mon - Thurs. Duties:
Lead a small class of Prek students under 12 students. Have great leadership and team working skills. Create crafts that are engaging and incorporate hands on learning. Help keep a clean, organized and safe classroom environment. Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Record keeping with assessments for students academic growth. Qualifications CPR Certification Mandated Reporter Immunization Record Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. 12 ECE units Drivers License Spiritual Requirements This is a ministry-centered position.
