Job Summary Olive Tree Day School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff Assess and track children's developmental progress Use various teaching methods, including Montessori-style approaches. Manage classroom behavior with love and respect Collaborate with staff to support children with special needs or early intervention needs Requirements Education & Experience 12 Child Development (ECE/CD) units required 1-2 years experience in a licensed preschool or childcare setting preferred Certifications CPR Certification (up to date) Mandated Reporter Training Valid CA Driver's License or State ID Skills Strong classroom management and communication skills Understanding of child development and early intervention strategies Comfortable with prayer and worship in a school setting Ability to teach with both academic structure and creative play A servant-hearted, joyful, and patient approach to teaching Spiritual Requirements Personal relationship with Jesus Christ Regular attendance at a Bible-believing church Committed to living out Christian values inside and outside the classroom Comfortable leading or participating in prayer and worship with students
