POSITION SUMMARY
Davis Street is seeking a Teacher to provide developmental care and supervision to children enrolled in the Child Development Center. Under general supervision, this position helps implement age-appropriate curriculum, maintains a safe and supportive classroom environment, builds positive relationships with children and families, and supports each child's learning and development. Full-time @ 37.5 Hours/week with excellent company paid benefits!

Responsibilities Assist with planning, adapting, and scheduling age-appropriate curriculum and activities to support children's cognitive skills, abilities, and development. Provide care and supervision to children while serving as a positive adult role model. Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment and ensure health and safety standards are followed. Record daily observations of children's behavior and activities. Monitor behavioral patterns, complete developmental assessments, and adapt the learning environment to meet individual children's needs. Schedule and participate in parent conferences to discuss children's development, progress, and concerns. Work with the Lead Teacher and families to develop learning and development strategies as needed. Maintain current knowledge of child development and classroom best practices. Complete 21 hours of professional development annually. Stay current with annual mandatory Licensing and Food Program trainings, including civil rights training. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Associate Teacher Child Development Permit or higher issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. One year of teaching experience preferred. Pediatric CPR / First Aid certification. Knowledge of child development and ability to implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities. Ability to implement a program based on sound child development principles and Davis Street's goals and expectations. Ability to interact positively with children and act as an appropriate adult role model. Ability to meet Title 22 and Title 5 regulations. Must complete Live Scan background check and fingerprint clearance. Must meet Licensing requirements for immunization records, TB test, and physician's report.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting children or heavy items up to 50 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing, and walking. Must be able to work safely in an environment that may include biological conditions such as bodily fluids, waste, germs, childhood illnesses, and diseases. Benefits Eligible Compensation $25.00
