Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Assistant and play a vital role in nurturing and supporting the development of young children. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children of various ages. Your enthusiasm, compassion, and attention to detail will help foster a positive atmosphere where children can thrive, learn, and grow. Responsibilities Assist with supervising children during daily activities, playtime, meals, and nap times to ensure their safety and well-being Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in line with curriculum guidelines Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong relationships Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws for any concerns or incidents involving children Help with diapering, feeding, and providing basic infant care as needed for younger children in the center Collaborate with team members to plan and execute developmental activities that support childhood development milestones Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of child development instruction and classroom management techniques Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or related health safety training preferred Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills for engaging with parents and team members effectively Ability to handle behavior management strategies calmly and professionally Understanding of mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with legal requirements for child safety Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to fostering growth, curiosity, and happiness in every child. Pay:
$17.00 - $17.40 per hour
