Must be willing to work set hours, Monday-Friday, hours TBD based on the needs of the preschool. Must be a fully qualified preschool teacher (12 units in early childhood education) - if you do not have 12 units in Early Childhood Education, need not apply. We are looking for candidates who love to work with children aged 18 months-5 years old. Must be a team player with the ability to multitask while creating a positive learning experience within the classroom. Must be dependable and committed to the job. Seeking teachers who enjoy having fun and being creative, with strong classroom management skills. Candidates must possess knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, have a strong Christian faith, and express a passion for working with young children. Responsibilities Planning, organizing, and supervising developmentally appropriate play and work activities for young children. Maintain a healthy and safe environment. Communicate positively with students, parents, and staff. Assist in diapering and potty training. Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the school. Assist with the day-to-day responsibilities of the preschool, such as giving breaks, lunch breaks, stepping in during a classroom teacher's curriculum, substituting in classrooms as needed, maintain ratios on the playground, etc.- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Qualifications Experience working with young children, ages eighteen months to five years. A minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education. Physically capable of lifting 20 pounds Physically capable of appropriate mobility in the preschool classroom (i.e.sitting on floor, participating in movement activities, moving around the classrooms, playground, chapel). Must be able to work Monday through Friday. Must be up-to-date on the state required immunizations and provide records Must be willing to complete fingerprinting and background clearance (LiveScan). The position is available for part time hours, but the candidate must be able to work Monday through Friday. Hours TBD based on the needs of the preschool.
