Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team at our family in-home childcare facility. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster curiosity, social skills, and foundational learning for children in our care. This part-time paid position (10-15hrs per week) offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Duties Support classroom activities and lesson plans designed to promote childhood development and early learning skills Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and engagement at all times Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines aligned with individual needs Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behaviors, and daily activities Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Follow all safety protocols including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures to respond promptly to emergencies Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to implement inclusive strategies for children with disabilities or special needs Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention Ability to provide toddler care, infant care, and support for children ages 0-5yrs Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and social interactions Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or similar safety training preferred but not required initially; training provided if needed Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities in a daycare or early learning environment Certification / Licensing Requirements Certification in first aid, pediatric CPR (EMSA approved) TB Risk Assessment & Clearance LiveScan Fingerprint Clearance Join us in creating a joyful learning space where children thrive! Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 15.0 per week
