Overview We are seeking a dedicated Afternoon Teacher's Aid to support our early childhood education programs. This role involves assisting lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for preschool and school-age children. The ideal candidate will have experience working in daycare settings, a strong understanding of childhood development, and relevant certifications such as first aid and CPR. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and well-being of young learners while supporting their educational journey. Duties Supervise children during afternoon activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist with infant care and support classroom activities tailored to preschool and school-age children Implement early childhood education strategies aligned with developmental milestones Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily experiences Support teachers in maintaining a structured, positive learning environment Administer first aid and pediatric CPR when necessary, following mandated reporting laws and safety protocols Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including mandated reporting laws and health guidelines Support children in their social-emotional development through positive interactions and guidance Skills Experience working in daycare centers or early childhood education settings Knowledge of childhood development principles for preschool and school-age children Strong child supervision skills with the ability to manage multiple children effectively Proficiency in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid certification (or be willing to obtain once hired) Ability to communicate clearly with parents, children, and team members Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Teaching experience with young children is preferred Relevant coursework or units completed in preschool and school-age child development Teachable Team Player This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a safe, supportive environment for young learners.
