In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Responsibilities Assist with supervising children during daily activities, playtime, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure their safety and well-being. Support classroom management by helping organize activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. Implement age-appropriate educational activities under the guidance of lead teachers to encourage curiosity and learning. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation and equipment maintenance. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to foster strong relationships. Support children with special needs or disabilities by applying inclusive teaching strategies and accommodations. Follow mandated reporting laws and procedures to ensure the safety of all children in accordance with legal requirements. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific care practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to respond effectively in emergencies. Familiarity with special education strategies and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and children alike. Ability to manage classroom behavior through positive guidance techniques and behavior management strategies.
