Noah's Ark was founded as a ministry of South Bay Church of God (SBCOG) designed to support growing families through providing phenomenal early education in a safe, secure, and decidedly Godly Christian environment. We are continuing in that effort and adding a particular sensitivity to the needs of today's parents. Job Summary We are looking for a Christ-following Teacher and Teacher's Aid to join our team. Teachers and Teachers Aid's will provide the best child experience at our centers. We are looking for a servant teacher and teachers aid who can build relationships with and inspire children while partnering with the Noah's Ark Director / Noah's Ark Staff and parents to ensure the success of every child.

At Our Center You Must:

Be an active follower of Christ with membership in a Christian church and a willingness to attend South Bay Church of God for occasional Noah's Ark events approximately 5-7 times throughout the year. (Membership is highly encouraged but not mandated at this point.) Deliver the highest quality developmental experience for children ages 2 years to 12 years. Deliver curriculum across all age groups, ensuring alignment with ministry expectations. Provide in-classroom support (if Aid) or classroom leadership (if Teacher) to ensure curriculum, child development, and teaching standards are met. Be aware of and ensure teacher ratios are always maintained. Be a motivated educator by participating in meaningful feedback, one-on-ones, regular performance evaluations, and establishing opportunities to support career growth. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through effective communication and team-building activities. Be willing to address and resolve any conflict or issues promptly and effectively. Support families through transitions into and out of the classroom embracing SBCOG ministry model and educational/developmental approach. Engage in regular and pro-active communication with families, managing parent interactions around curriculum, child development, and overall experience using the established system of communication, Brightwheel and/or others as needed. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and center policies and procedures, and interface with local licensing representatives. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and licensing requirements. Duties include

• Care for the children under your supervision, protect from any harm or threat
• Create a clean and safe environment
• Support children's hygiene and daily routines
• Support and implement daily lessons, arts and crafts
• Serve snacks and meals
• Monitor drop-off and pick-ups
• Build kind and caring relationships with the children, parents and staff
• Administrative tasks include writing up incident reports, recording activities, messaging with parents and staff, checking and maintaining email messages
• Maintains classroom in order, clean and clutter-free
• Set's up and takes down equipment as needed, such as cots, chairs, toys, bikes, etc
• Supervises all children during outside activities, provides aid in case of any accidents, injuries or other situations

Experience, Knowledge & Abilities:

Must have completed 12 required ECE units. CPR & First Aid Certification required (training will be provided for recertification) Must meet Title 22 Child Care qualifications Ensures compliance with company procedures and policies Experience in a childcare/preschool environment preferred (for aids) and required for teachers Excellent parent communication skills and ability to understand parent needs and perspectives Knowledge of licensing requirements for Early Childhood Education Diaper Changing in the toddler program, age 2 years and up Comfort using technology (Bright Wheel, E-mail, and similar systems) Physical Demands Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, walk, bend and otherwise fully participate in activities. Standing for long periods of time. Ability to appropriately physically handle children between 2 years and 5 years of age using appropriate techniques. Ability to lift children up to 50 pounds. Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements. Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies. Follow local, state, federal and NA's guidelines regarding immunizations, employment physical, and required health and safety training and practices. Pay Range:

$18.50 - $21.00 per hour, placement in the range is dependent on education, relevant experiences and capabilities
