In this role, you will provide engaging educational activities, ensure the safety and well-being of middle school children, and support their social and emotional development. Your energy and commitment will help create a positive, inclusive space where children can learn, grow, and thrive beyond the classroom. Duties Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety through attentive child supervision and behavior management. Facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including arts, crafts, outdoor play, and educational games. Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment and encourage respectful interactions among children. Assist in planning and leading youth group activities that foster teamwork, creativity, and social skills. Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols to address minor injuries or emergencies promptly. Support children with special education needs by adapting activities to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Collaborate with team members to develop engaging lesson plans aligned with developmental goals and program standards. Requirements Prior experience working with children in childcare, daycare, camp settings, or youth programs is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead outdoor work activities safely and effectively in various weather conditions. Strong team leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Experience facilitating youth group activities or teaching young children is a plus. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members professionally.
