Job Description

```Overview``` We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher to join our team. As a Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children, while following all policies and procedures of Puente Avenue Preschool ICC. You will play a key role in their educational and social development, ensuring that they receive the necessary support and guidance to thrive. You will work in partnership with various agencies including Early Head Start. ```Duties```
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Provide individualized attention and support to each child
  • Monitor and assess children's progress and provide feedback to parents
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational program
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's development and behavior
  • Promote positive behavior management techniques
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom
  • Communicate effectively with parents, addressing any concerns or questions
  • Complete Desired Results Developmental Profile along with daily observations
  • Monthly observations
  • Work in partnership with Early Head Start ```Requirements```
  • Child Development/ECE Units
  • Child Development Permit
  • Previous experience working in a preschool or childcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of literacy education, math concepts, and child development principles
  • Familiarity with behavioral health strategies and techniques
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Mandated Reporter Certification
