Nationally accredited Kids' Discovery Days is seeking enthusiastic Classroom Teacher Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside lead teachers to foster a warm, nurturing environment where young children (ages 1 to 5) can thrive physically, emotionally, and intellectually.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom & Student Support Instructional Support:
Assist lead teachers in implementing engaging daily lessons and curriculum.
Active Supervision:
Supervise children (ages 1-5) in the classroom and on the playground, maintaining accurate daily attendance logs.
Individualized Care:
Show genuine care, warmth, and respect for each child's individual needs and development.
Safety & Environment Safe Spaces:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
Emergency Preparedness:
Accompany children and lead teachers during emergency evacuations, ensuring all doors and windows are secured prior to leaving.
Compliance:
Follow all program policies, health guidelines, and procedures detailed in the Staff and Parent Handbooks.
Teamwork & Community Professionalism:
Maintain a positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong collaborative approach with co-workers.
Community Engagement:
Attend scheduled school events and fundraisers (e.g., Arts & Literacy Night, Math Night, and Science Night).
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required ( Early Childhood Education coursework preferred ).
Experience:
1 year in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Certifications & Training:
Current CPR and First Aid certifications. Completion of Standard Precautions and Mandatory Reporter training. Commitment to completing at least 15 hours of annual continuing education.
Location:
Must be able to reliably commute to Arvada, CO 80004.
Schedule & Shift Details Hours:
3.75-hour shifts ( 8:45 AM - 12:30 PM )
Days:
Monday through Friday (Schedules available for M/W, T/Th, or Fridays)
Work-Life Balance:
Daytime shifts only — no nights, no weekends.
