Bright Minds Children Academy is seeking an experienced Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher to join our team. What You'll Do Create and maintain a warm, nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom for infants and toddlers Build strong, responsive relationships with children and support their individual developmental needs Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with ITERS-3 and the Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines Support developmental milestones including language, motor development, social-emotional growth, sensory exploration, and early independence Follow all applicable Colorado child care licensing requirements , including safe sleep, supervision, diapering, sanitation, and health and safety procedures Follow CACFP requirements and age-appropriate infant and toddler feeding practices Support children transitioning from bottles to cups, purees to table foods, and diapers toward toilet learning when developmentally appropriate Maintain accurate daily records for meals, bottles, diapers, naps, activities, and other required information Build positive relationships with families through daily communication and updates Maintain a clean, organized, inviting, and developmentally appropriate classroom Lead by example by mentoring assistant teachers, modeling professionalism, and supporting a positive classroom and center culture Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, and ongoing quality-improvement efforts Minimum Qualifications Must meet Colorado requirements to serve as a qualified Early Childhood Teacher/Lead Teacher for the assigned classroom At least 1 year of experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a licensed child care setting preferred Knowledge of infant and toddler development, safe sleep, diapering, sanitation, feeding practices, and positive guidance CPR/First Aid certified , or willing and able to obtain required certification Must successfully complete all required background checks, training, and health and safety requirements Dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Patient, loving, dependable, and emotionally responsive to young children Comfortable working with both infants and toddlers Able to maintain a calm, structured classroom while responding to multiple children's individual needs Strong in communication and comfortable building relationships with families Organized and detail-oriented with daily documentation and classroom routines Comfortable using tablets, child care software, and parent communication apps Interested in professional growth and being part of a center that is continually improving its quality of care Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with infants and toddlers and understands that great early childhood education starts with responsive relationships, consistency, safety, and care.
