We're looking for a full-time Assistant Teacher who works closely alongside our Lead Teachers to bring daily classroom programming to life, uphold our licensing and safety standards, and help deliver the kind of high-quality care and education our families count on. When a Lead Teacher is out, our Assistant Teachers step up with confidence and warmth, keeping things steady and familiar for the children in their care, because consistency is one of the most comforting things we can offer a child. For this particular role, we are looking to fill it with someone that currently holds a Level 3 certification in the state of CO. Key Responsibilities Classroom Support & Instruction You'll be right alongside the Lead Teacher, bringing the day's plans and routines to life. Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, classroom activities, and routines across all areas of development. Follow the guidance and professional modeling of the Lead Teacher, asking questions and seeking clarification when needed to ensure alignment and consistency. Substitute for the Lead Teacher during absences, assuming responsibility for classroom operations with professionalism and care. Health, Safety & Licensing Compliance Families trust us with what matters most to them — we take that seriously, every single day. Assist in ensuring full compliance with all state licensing and health regulations within the classroom. Complete required daily checklists, including playground safety, cleaning protocols, and opening/closing procedures. Accurately complete accident and illness reports, submitting them to the Lead Teacher for review and signature. Child Observation & Documentation Getting to know each child well is at the core of great teaching, and it's a team effort. Support the observation and documentation of each child's growth and development, collaborating with the Lead Teacher to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Participate in the preparation and execution of developmentally appropriate learning experiences that promote holistic growth. Family Engagement Every family who walks through our door should feel genuinely welcomed. While the Lead Teacher maintains primary responsibility for parent communication, the Assistant Teacher is expected to greet families warmly and professionally at all times. Build positive, respectful relationships with families through consistent, pleasant, and supportive interactions. Contribute to a classroom culture that values family involvement, trust, and open communication. Classroom Maintenance & Daily Routines A calm, cared-for space helps children feel safe and ready to explore. Help prepare the classroom environment each day, including the setup and clean-up of materials, meals, and activity spaces. Support care routines such as diapering, toileting, transitions, and naptime in accordance with center policies and licensing standards. Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the day to promote a safe and inviting learning environment. Team Communication & Collaboration You're never doing this alone, we grow as a team. Communicate classroom needs, supply requests, and concerns to the Lead Teacher, Infant Nursery Supervisor (INS), or center leadership as appropriate. Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities. Demonstrate a positive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement. Qualifications We know the right person for this role brings both heart and willingness to learn. Here's what we need: Must meet the minimum qualifications for an Assistant Teacher as defined by state licensing requirements. Previous experience in an early childhood education setting preferred. Ability to follow direction, take initiative, and work effectively as part of a collaborative teaching team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Schedule This is a full-time position at our center in Black Hawk. Monday through Thursday.
