A supportive and collaborative school environment Opportunities for Montessori and early childhood professional development Opportunities for advancement into Lead Guide roles Consistent school-year routines and a close-knit community Additional benefits after one year of employment, including expanded paid time off (PTO) and other school-supported benefits Position Responsibilities Depending on experience and role placement, responsibilities may include: Creating and maintaining a calm, organized, safe, and inviting Montessori environment Supporting children's independence, problem-solving, grace and courtesy, and social-emotional development Presenting lessons individually or in small groups Observing children's development and documenting progress Supporting daily routines including arrival, transitions, meals, toileting/diapering, rest, outdoor time, and dismissal Preparing and maintaining Montessori materials and classroom learning areas Communicating professionally with families and team members Participating in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and required trainings Working collaboratively with classroom and administrative teams Maintaining confidentiality and required student records Lead Guide candidates will also be responsible for greater classroom leadership, lesson planning and presentation, observation and documentation, classroom management, family communication, and guiding Assistant Guides within the prepared environment. Qualifications Assistant Guide Candidates High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with young children preferred Interest in Montessori education and child development Willingness to complete required Colorado Early Childhood qualifications and training Ability to take direction and work collaboratively Lead Guide Candidates Previous early childhood classroom experience Colorado Group Lead qualification or ability to meet required Lead Teacher qualifications Montessori training, certification, or significant Montessori classroom experience strongly preferred Ability to confidently lead classroom routines, guide children independently, and support other classroom staff Strong organization, communication, and classroom management skills What We're Looking For Successful candidates will be: Dependable and punctual Patient, nurturing, and respectful Comfortable receiving feedback and continuing to grow professionally Able to work independently while also functioning as part of a team Comfortable taking responsibility for the children and classroom duties associated with their assigned position Outdoor & Physical Expectations Outdoor time is an important part of our program. Children and Guides typically spend 1-3 hours outside each day throughout the year , including during Colorado's changing seasons. Candidates must be comfortable with active supervision indoors and outdoors and with the physical responsibilities associated with caring for young children. Position Level We welcome applicants at different stages of their early childhood careers. Compensation and position placement will be determined based on experience, education, certifications, Montessori training, and whether the candidate is hired as an Assistant Guide or Lead Guide.

Pay:

$16.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 35.0 per week
