Monarch Montessori of Denver is an ECE program on the same campus as a DPS charter school serving Kindergarten through 5th grade in Far Northeast Denver. Our school provides a high-quality Montessori learning environment for students and supportive work atmosphere. On the same campus is a Montessori Public Elementary school K-5th grade. Monarch has a large outdoor learning environment, greenhouses, peace path and chickens! Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of preschool students. Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured learning environment. Facilitate literacy education through interactive reading sessions and storytelling activities. Collaborate with educators to assess children's progress and adapt activities to meet individual learning needs. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in early childhood education. This position includes a $500 closing stipend for working 8:30am -5:30pm Monday through Friday as recognition for your commitment to our closing shift schedule Skills Experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly in preschool or daycare environments. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of Montessori methods or private school educational practices is a plus. Ability to manage classroom dynamics while fostering a supportive atmosphere for all students.
