This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work with children of different ages, from toddlers to preschoolers, providing essential developmental support and fostering a love for learning. As a Floating Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining a nurturing, engaging environment while supporting classroom teachers and ensuring each child's needs are met with care and professionalism. Responsibilities Provide flexible classroom coverage across multiple early childhood settings, ensuring continuity of care and education for children. Implement age-appropriate curriculum development tailored to diverse developmental stages, including literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Engage children in meaningful learning activities that promote childhood development and early intervention techniques. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences. Assist with lesson planning and adapt instructional methods to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or additional support. Follow mandated reporting laws and maintain compliance with child welfare standards while documenting observations and incidents accurately. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is essential. Demonstrated classroom experience involving curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management. Knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care and preschool teaching methodologies. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and standardized testing procedures is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within a collaborative environment. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications related to childhood development or behavior management are advantageous. Experience working with diverse populations, including children requiring additional support such as those in private schools or daycare programs.
