Role:
Join the Primrose School of Lafayette as a Lead Preschool Teacher, where you will inspire young minds and foster a love for learning in a nurturing environment. We are dedicated to providing a safe and engaging space for children to grow, and we invite passionate educators to be part of our team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote creativity and critical thinking. Assess and monitor student progress through observation and documentation. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and classroom activities. Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the overall educational experience. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the classroom. Lead and mentor assistant teachers, providing guidance and support. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
Classes in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a preschool or early childhood setting. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment. Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering children's growth. State licensing requirements for Lead Teacher positions.
