Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our Christ-centered early childhood program. This position involves assisting teachers in implementing lesson plans, and engaging students in meaningful activities. The Assistant Teacher plays an important role in fostering positive relationships with children and supporting their social-emotional development in a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment. This position requires the covering of lunch breaks and teacher absences. You must be Early Childhood Teacher Qualified according to the State of Colorado Licensing Regulations.
Responsibilities:
Build caring, supportive relationships with students. Assist teachers in carrying out lesson plans and classroom activities. Support students' social-emotional growth by fostering confidence, self-regulation, and healthy peer relationships. Help maintain smooth classroom routines and transitions. Cover teacher lunch break during nap. Step into Lead teacher position in the event the teacher is absent. Share the love of Christ through words, actions, and example.
Qualifications:
Must be Assistant Teacher qualified according to Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) standards. Willingness to attain an Early Childhood Credential 3.0 through the Colorado PDIS system. Knowledge of early childhood social-emotional development and strategies for supporting young learners. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A personal relationship with Christ and a desire to share His love with children. Previous experience working with preschool children preferred.
