Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development, literacy education, math skills, physical education, and early intervention strategies. Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive and engaging environment for children from toddlers to preschool age. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques, fostering respect and cooperation among children. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns related to child welfare or special education needs. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress and incidents. Oversee classroom safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a secure environment for all children. Collaborate with colleagues to develop inclusive strategies that support children with diverse needs, including those requiring early intervention or special education services. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools. Strong background in childhood development instruction, classroom management, and lesson planning tailored for young learners. Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention programs is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members using excellent communication skills. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in childhood education is preferred. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance and safety. Experience teaching physical education or incorporating movement into daily activities enhances your candidacy.
