Overview Lead Head Teacher - Enfield Child Development Center Are you an experienced educator who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role? The Town of Enfield Child Development Center (ECDC) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lead Head Teacher to join our leadership team. This position combines hands-on work with children with the opportunity to lead, mentor and support teaching staff throughout ECDC's programs. The Lead Head Teacher plays an important role in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate programming while helping staff grow professionally and ensuring consistent, high-quality practices throughout the Center. What You'll Do Lead the development and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate programming Support children's academic, social and emotional development Supervise and provide guidance to teachers, teacher assistants and teacher aides Mentor teaching staff across ECDC programs in curriculum, behavior management and assessment practices Develop and coordinate staff schedules to support program needs and appropriate classroom coverage Model effective teaching and positive behavior-management strategies Support staff in creating strong, consistent classroom environments Build positive relationships with children and families Lead and participate in staff meetings and professional development Maintain required program records, lesson plans, action plans, attendance and other documentation Help ensure compliance with State of Connecticut child care licensing requirements and applicable national standards (NAEYC). Someone Who:
