We are looking for responsible, respectful and dependable individuals interested in long term employment. Childcare experience is required and Early Childhood Education is preferred. We are looking for individuals whom are looking to be an important part of our team and help the children in our care to learn and grow. Responsibilities and Duties Teacher Job Description Plan both long and short range activities with current curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy Meet the educational, social, and emotional needs of all children in your care Maintain an appropriate classroom environment in accordance to the program goals and philosophy Maintain a safe and healthy environment Maintain daily open communication with parents Prepare monthly newsletter and calendar Complete bi-annual assessment of children's development and report progress to parents in a written report and offer the option of a parent-teacher conference File accident reports Maintain anecdotal records Maintain confidentiality Report abuse and/or neglect to supervisor and to DCF Inspect and report lost or damaged material to your supervisor Attend in-service training and staff meetings Supervise Teacher Aides Encourage Teacher Aides to contribute to planning classroom activities Meet all Licensing Regulations Responsible for assigned cleaning of the facility Qualifications and Skills A High School diploma as well as experience working with children are both required for this position.
