Job Overview Good Child Development Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Head/Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care for toddlers ages 24 months to 3 years old, while collaborating with parents and staff to ensure the best outcomes for each child. Our center focuses on individualized lessons that adapt our standard routine to each child's specific needs. We employ a play-to-learn approach, where children grow intellectually and socially through fun and engaging activities that incorporate art, science, literacy, socializing, and motor skills. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans with our Experience Curricilum aligned with CTELDS standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Foster positive relationships with students, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
• Communicate regularly with parents through the Brightwheel platform regarding their child's progress, needs, and incidents.
• Observe and assess children's development, document their progress, and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
• Collaborate with assistant teachers to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets health and safety standards.
• Keep an open line of communication with management regarding the children and classroom environment.
• Keeping up with feeding, napping, and diapering/potty schedules.
• Strictly follow any healthcare plans and directives for children with pre-existing conditions.
• Participate in monthly staff meetings.
• Engage in special occasion events and activities promoted by the center.
• Maintaining compliance with policies and procedures according to our handbook, OEC regulations and NAEYC standards.
• Participate in yearly Staff Development Week. Skills
• Significant experience in early childhood education that demonstrates an understanding of child development.
• Background in childcare that showcases hands-on experience with toddlers.
• Flexibility and resilience to handle unforeseen situations.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
• Ability to lead the classroom environment by planning, implementing and overseeing lessons.
• Willingness to guide and delegate to Assistant Teachers.
• Kindness and sensitivity when handling undesired behaviors.
• Ability to multitask.
• Proactivity to support children and/or colleagues through challenges.
• Ease to incorporate practices like consistent hand washing, keeping rooms clean and organized, and maintaining ratio. Expected hours Full-Time 6:45am to 3:45pm Requirements
• Formal education in ECE
