We're Looking for You! A state-licensed and Catholic Preschool, is seeking a Head Teacher to join our team immediately. We provide high-quality early childhood education and care for children ages 18 months-5 in New Canaan, Connecticut. If you are passionate about early childhood education, committed to helping young children thrive, and meet the qualifications below, we encourage you to apply. Required Educational Qualifications Must have an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Human Development, OR Must have an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus at least 12 college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a CDA. Experience Requirements Minimum of two years of experience in a licensed preschool, child care center, or comparable early childhood setting serving children ages 3-5. Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. Familiarity with Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS), NAEYC standards, and Connecticut OEC/DPH licensing requirements preferred. Commitment to ongoing professional growth and education. Key Responsibilities Planning, implementing, and evaluating engaging learning experiences for preschool-aged children. Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. Build positive relationships with children and families. Adhere to all program policies, accreditation standards, and state licensing regulations.
