Preschool Dance Teacher Little People's Creative Workshop-CT Shoreline North Haven, CT Job Details Part-time $25 - $30 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Experience teaching visual & performing arts School experience Behavior management Program design Driver's License Driving Working with students Full Job Description Little People's Creative Workshop (LPCW) the nation's largest organization teaching dance to young children is hiring a passionate, energetic Dance Instructor in the New Haven area. This part-time Dance Instructor role focuses on delivering joyful, high-quality weekly dance classes with minimal weekly hours and no nights or weekends. If you're a Dance Instructor who loves the art of dance, thrives with young children, and brings strong organization and leadership, we'd love to hear from you. Position starts immediately. Duties and Responsibilities Teach engaging preschool dance classes (ages 2-5) as a Dance Instructor on week day mornings. Instruct age appropriate lesson plans provided at an excellent level as a Dance Instructor. Create a positive, enthusiastic classroom environment that nurtures confidence and coordination as a Dance Instructor. Communicate professionally with site staff and parents; manage attendance, class flow, and materials as a Dance Instructor. Maintain punctuality and reliable transportation to multiple class locations in the New Haven area as a Dance Instructor. Uphold child safety, classroom management, and program policies, including background check compliance, as a Dance Instructor. Qualifications and Experience Must be available week day mornings. Proven dance experience (required); prior work as a Dance Instructor strongly preferred. Genuine love for young children; adept at engaging ages 2-5 (dance). Outstanding people skills; energetic, enthusiastic, organized leader the hallmark of a great Dance Instructor. Must have a reliable car for travel between class sites (required). Background check required. Self-starter mindset and professional presence consistent with an LPCW Dance Instructor. Salary and Benefits Part-time schedule with minimal weekly hours and no nights or weekends ideal for a working Dance Instructor. Competitive hourly compensation commensurate with experience as a Dance Instructor.
