Job Description

Overview We are a modern church that offers three Sunday services
  • two in English (9am and 11am) and one in Spanish (1:00pm)
  • as well as evening membership classes & small group meet ups (eg bible study). We are looking for a responsible, reliable, loving person to work in our church nursery every Sunday at 8:30am for 4 or 6 hours. The children can range in age from 3 months
  • 4 years old. There is also the opportunity to work 1-2 hours providing childcare for our evening events
  • usually Sundays, Mondays or Tuesdays starting around 6pm or 7pm.
For these events, the children are usually a mix of preK and elementary. Duties Supervise and care for young children in a designated nursery space during church events, ensuring their safety at all times Implement age-appropriate activities from the provided lesson plan Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment Communicate effectively with parents/guardians Follow church policies on child supervision, pick up/drop off, parent contact, etc Assist with diapering/toileting, snack/feeding, engaging play, and comforting children as needed Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to coordinate schedules and ensure smooth nursery operations Skills Experience working with groups of young children, preferably in a daycare center, preschool, or elementary school setting Fluent in English and Spanish strongly preferred, as this position supports our English and Spanish congregations Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) to respond confidently to emergencies is preferred Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and safe environments Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration The church places a high priority on taking excellent care of the kids parents trust us with.

Pay:
