Our program is designed to meet the need of infants, toddlers and preschoolers in safe and nurturing environment. Our program supports and nurtures the growth of each individual child in all areas of development: social, emotional, physical, cognitive and creative. It is our goal is to strengthen the bridge between our customers' work and family life by creating a special place that supports both parents and children. Bright Beginnings offers a creative environment and place a high priority on team effort and dedication to our children and families.
Main Responsibilities include:
Provide administrative support including typing correspondence (letters, memos, reports, etc.), faxing documents, mailings, handling phone calls, scheduling appointments and meetings, etc. Maintain paper and computer files Assist with promotional/marketing materials Must be able to work overtime occasionally on short notice Managing, following up and expediting assigned projects Answering and screening telephone calls, taking accurate messages and handling situations when possible Taking and transcribing meeting notes Assisting and supporting clients Purchasing supplies and following up on deliveries Contracting with outside vendors for services Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and be flexible Must be able to work with children in the classroom in case of staff shortages and cover teachers' breaks
Other Skill Requirements:
Must be good at using a computer, especially email, excel, word and powerpoint Quick learner and thinker - able to grasp new concepts Strong communication skills - both oral and written Strong, positive and energized professional presence Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and manage multiple priorities Take total responsibility for actions Demonstrates self-confidence and enthusiasm through actions Ability to work with diverse personalities Maintain confidentiality Take initiative in seeking clarification on the scope, purpose, priority and time urgency of any ongoing responsibility or special assignment Follow up on all matters to assure that they have been completed or resolved Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and be flexible Must be able to work with children in the classroom in case of staff shortages and cover teachers breaks
Education and Experience:
Associate or Bachelor's Degree Preferred 1+ years previous administrative experience Daycare center experience required
