Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, incorporating curriculum development principles and learning technology tools. Implement assessment-driven instruction by regularly evaluating student progress through formative and summative assessments, including student performance data analysis. Manage classroom activities to promote active engagement, positive behavior management, and conflict resolution among children. Collaborate with colleagues to design instructional strategies that support students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education services or academic interventions within Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Utilize classroom management techniques to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and social-emotional development. Engage in ongoing professional development related to Montessori methods, literacy education, physical education, library services, and working with children with disabilities. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding developmental milestones and areas for growth. Ensure compliance with all educational regulations, licensing requirements, and safety protocols pertinent to preschool settings. Qualifications Proven experience teaching preschool or early childhood education in classroom settings; experience working with children with disabilities is highly valued. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum design, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and assessment techniques. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for tracking student progress and instructional planning. Demonstrated ability to implement academic interventions using data-driven strategies within Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, engaging families, and supporting student success. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds including toddlers or infants; private school experience is a plus. Skills in behavior management, conflict resolution, instructional design, and working with children's behavioral needs. Ability to adapt teaching strategies for physical education activities or library services as needed; knowledge of Montessori approaches is advantageous.
