EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR.

Seeking energetic and experienced PreK Lead & Two's Teacher to join our dedicated staff for 5 mornings per week (Monday-Friday). Join our vibrant Learning Through Play community nursery school. School hours are 9am-noon, teachers work 8:45am-12:15pm on site and are paid planning time responsible for creating parent communications and lesson plans. Additionally, lead teachers meet twice a month in the afternoon for staff related meetings. We enroll over 120 children ages 18 months through PreK5 with afternoon enrichment opportunities for students. We also have the option for additional hours by working Extended Day 5 days per week until 2:30 pm.

QUALIFICATIONS

LEAD TEACHER shall be at least 21 years of age and meet one of the following requirements: An associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in ECE or ECD. An associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university, at least 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in ECE or ECD, and at least 1 year supervised experience working with children in a licensed DC Child Development Center or its equivalent in another jurisdiction. At least 48 credit hours from an accredited college or university, at least 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in ECE or ECD, and at least 2 years supervised experience working with children in a licensed DC Child Development Center or its equivalent in another jurisdiction.
