KinderCare is seeking a Before and Afterschool Teacher for Bay Meadows Elementary to create a safe, engaging environment for school-age children. In this role, you will supervise students before and after school, lead enriching activities, and support homework and social-emotional development. You will collaborate with families, school staff, and KinderCare teammates to maintain a nurturing, inclusive culture. Responsibilities Supervise children before and after school to ensure safety and well-being Plan and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities Support homework help and basic academic enrichment Maintain positive, inclusive classroom management and behavior guidance Communicate effectively with families and school staff about student needs Follow center policies, safety procedures, and state regulations Prepare and organize materials, snacks, and activity spaces Document attendance and incident reports as required Promote Kinder Care's culture of inclusion, respect, and collaboration Participate in ongoing training and professional development Required Skills Child supervision and safety Classroom or group management Lesson and activity planning Homework support and basic tutoring Behavior guidance and conflict resolution Communication with parents and guardians Time management and organization Basic recordkeeping and documentation Understanding of child development Collaboration with school and center staff
