KinderCare seeks a Before and After School Teacher to support students at Apopka Elementary School. In this on-site role, you'll create a safe, engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow outside regular school hours. You'll lead age-appropriate activities, support homework time, and promote social-emotional development. Working within KinderCare's inclusive, collaborative culture, you'll partner with families and school staff, uphold licensing and safety standards, and benefit from training and growth opportunities in early childhood and school-age education. Responsibilities Plan and lead before and after school activities that support academic and social-emotional growth Ensure constant supervision and safety of children in classrooms, playgrounds, and common areas Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment aligned with Kinder Care curriculum and standards Support homework help, enrichment projects, and structured play Communicate regularly with parents and school staff about student progress and needs Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing regulations Document attendance, incidents, and child progress as required Implement behavior management strategies that promote respect and cooperation Collaborate with teammates to improve programs and share best practices Participate in training and professional development offered by Kinder Care Required Skills Classroom management Child supervision Lesson and activity planning Homework support/tutoring Behavior management Child safety and first aid awareness Parent communication Recordkeeping and documentation Collaboration with school staff Knowledge of child development
