Nursery Worker First United Methodist Church of Bartow, FL INC Bartow, FL Job Details Part-time $15 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Abuse and neglect policy adherence Parent collaboration High school diploma or GED Child safety supervision Newsletters (communication methods) Working with youth Full Job Description Job Overview The Nursery Worker will be available to care for children in the Nursery from 10 am to 12 pm every Sunday in accordance with the Child Youth Protection Policy. Duties Watch over children (infants to 4 years old) in the Nursery. This can include changing diapers or giving bottles provided by parents/guardians. Make sure the TV is set up and plays the livestream through the computer from 10:30 am until the service is over. Tidy the Nursery and wipe down toys after use. Work with Children and Youth Ministry Coordinator and parents as needed to determine when a child is ready to move from the Nursery to Children's Church. Communicate with the front office to create information and publicity around the Nursery for our Newsletter, Bulletins, and social media (as is appropriate). Communicate with parents with compassion and professionalism. Meet with pastor and front office as needed for coordination and support. Have right of first refusal for any church events needing Nursery beyond the hours in the job description. Qualifications A Christian person, at least 18 years of age. Some experience with young children either on staff or as a volunteer. High School diploma. Patience, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Willing to interact with parents, grandparents, and guardians to create an environment of trust. Able to pass a background screening to work with minors. Willingness to follow the Child Youth Protection Policy of our church. 2 hours a week from 10 am to 12 pm onsite on Sundays.
