Foster children's developmental growth through tailored activities that support language acquisition, cognitive skills, motor development, and social skills. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or behavior. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff to ensure high-quality instruction and effective classroom management. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations; respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies with appropriate first aid or CPR as needed. Collaborate with specialists in special education or early intervention when supporting children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays. Qualifications Minimum of a CDA to be considered. Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting; prior classroom experience is essential. Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood education best practices, and behavior management techniques. Demonstrated ability in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is required. Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable.
