Responsibilities Supervise children in the nursery area, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Engage children with age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and spiritual development Follow established safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to respond promptly to emergencies Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's needs, behaviors, and developmental progress Maintain a clean, organized nursery environment that adheres to health and safety standards Implement behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions among children Collaborate with church staff to coordinate schedules, activities, and special events for young children Skills Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or childcare environments Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs of infants through preschoolers Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is highly desirable Strong classroom management skills to maintain a safe and nurturing atmosphere Ability to work effectively with children with special needs or disabilities; experience in special education is a plus Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention Experience with behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct among young children This role is perfect for compassionate individuals passionate about early childhood education and eager to contribute positively to our church community.
