VPK Lead Teacher Schedule:
Monday-Friday / 7:00 AM - 12:00
PM Days/Hours:
Part-Time (25 hours per week)
Compensation:
$16-$18
Per Hour Position Overview:
Faithful Beginnings Childcare and Education is seeking a dedicated and nurturing VPK Lead Teacher to guide and inspire preschool students in a faith-based environment. The teacher will lead a classroom of young learners, ensuring lessons meet Florida Early Learning and VPK standards while fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate VPK lessons aligned with Florida Early Learning Standards. Foster a nurturing, faith-based environment that supports each child's academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate results with families. Utilize classroom tools such as iPads and the Playground app for attendance, lesson planning, and documentation. Create an active, hands-on learning environment that requires frequent movement, supervision, and engagement. Manage classroom behavior with patience, structure, and consistency.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent credential. Completion of all Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) VPK Instructor courses. Minimum of 12 months experience in early childhood education. Level 2 background screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading a VPK/preschool classroom. Knowledge of Florida Early Learning Standards. Current CPR/First Aid certification.
Skills and Abilities:
Reliable, organized, and nurturing personality. Strong classroom management skills. Passionate about faith-based early childhood education. Ability to collaborate with staff and communicate effectively with parents.
