Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with adults with developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to enhance the quality of life for our clients while fostering their independence and skill development. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Conduct direct therapy sessions with clients, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence. Collect and record data on client progress and behavioral changes accurately. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding client confidentiality and medical documentation. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral therapy and special education. Skills Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Experience working with children or adults with intellectual disabilities, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities. Strong understanding of care plans, medical terminology, and medical records management. Ability to teach new skills effectively while demonstrating patience and empathy. Familiarity with data collection methods for tracking client progress. Knowledge of behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.
