Responsibilities Supervise children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and facilitate engaging activities that support childhood development, creativity, social skills, and early learning objectives Provide hands-on care such as feeding, diapering, potty training, and maintaining hygiene routines for infants and toddlers Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and discipline in line with best practices Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child safety or well-being Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards in compliance with childcare regulations Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs is essential Demonstrated experience caring for infants through elementary school-age children with a focus on childhood development principles Knowledge of early childhood education techniques and activity planning tailored for young learners Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom experience in educational settings Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in childhood development or special needs support is highly preferred Understanding of mandated reporting laws ensures compliance with legal responsibilities related to child safety Managing and organizing classrooms

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
