Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills to stimulate early childhood development. Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and support individual learning styles. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all children. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster strong home-school connections. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor each child's developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of daily activities, attendance, behavioral observations, and developmental progress. Experience Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, early intervention strategies, and childhood education best practices. Experience managing classrooms for toddlers through preschool-aged children with effective behavior management techniques. Knowledge of special education needs and experience supporting children with diverse learning requirements. Familiarity with child welfare policies, first aid and CPR certification, and mandated reporting laws is required. Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and community partners to support child welfare and development goals. Classroom experience involving classroom management, lesson planning, physical education activities, and childcare routines is highly valued.
